CyberTruck Interesting Facts :

Cybertruck was designed and built by Tesla Inc. Cybertruck is an all-electric consumer pickup truck with a unique futuristic design having an angular powerful exoskeleton body made up of stainless steel, a sustainable electric powertrain, and unparalleled performance. Elon Musk (the CEO of Tesla’s) ambitious project to solve the issues of current pickup trucks using sustainable green energy.

Cybertruck concept was announced in November 2019 by the CEO of Tesla – Elon Musk. According to Elon Musk, the design is inspired by Cyberpunk or Blade Runner. Initially, car designers were criticized for sharp contours and unusual exteriors resulting in a decline of Tesla stocks up to 6%.

Despite criticism, tesla accepted the cybertruck reservation with just 100$ deposit receiving almost 146,000 reservations in just 36 hours. Later Elon Musk informed the reservations reached the limit of 250,000 pre-orders collecting 2.5 million dollars.

In the 2022 Annual Shareholder Meeting, Elon Musk stated that final specifications and prices may vary from those unveiled during the concept vehicle presentation in 2019.

Design of the Cybertruck :

Exterior design: The Cybertruck’s exterior design characteristics have a sharp angular shape (wedge-like shape) and powerful exoskeleton body made up of stainless steel. Elon Musk also claimed cybertruck to be bulletproof and resistant to normal dents and damage. The adaptive LED lighting strips, akin to luminescent veins, trace the contours of the Cybertruck, illuminating the road ahead with an otherworldly glow.

Interior design: The Cybertruck’s interior design to be 6 adults seated spacious and functional with a minimalistic dashboard with a massive 18.5” infinity touchscreen in the front and 9.4” touchscreen in the back with an all-new user interface.

Also plenty of room for five adults, with expansive cabin views through an all-glass roof.

Pilot production and delivery :

Tesla started pilot production of cyber trucks in July 2023, built on the production line at the Texas gigafactory.

Tesla delivered 10-12 cybertruck units to customers on November 30, 2023. During the delivery event at the Texas Giga factory:

• They successfully demonstrated a cybertruck’s armored glass by trying to shatter it with a baseball.
• They demonstrated with a video of a cybertruck accelerating from 0 to 60 mph (97 kmph) in 2.6 seconds. The video included a cybertruck winning the drag race against Porsche 911 while towing another Porsche 911.
• They finally disclosed the specifications, models, pricing, and availability of them.

There will be 3 models offered –

1. Cyberbeast – Three motor Cyberbeast will cost US$99,990 and will be available in 2024.
2. All-Wheel Drive – Dual Motor AWD will cost US$79,990 and will be available in 2024.
3. Rare wheel drive RWD (only for North America) – Single Motor RWD will cost US$60,990 and will be available in 2025.

People were shocked and disappointed over the price compared to the base price of US$21000 in the 2019 launch event.

Key features of the Cybertruck :

Performance:The Telsa has a reputation for producing high-performance vehicles. The cyber truck uses 800v electric motors.

• Single motor RWDhas a top speed of112mph or 180 mphand will be going0-60in6.5 seconds.
• TheDual motor AWDwill have an induction motor at the rare axle and a permanent magnetic motor on the front axle which has a top speed of112mph or 180 kmphand will go0-60 mphin4.1 seconds.
• Three-motor Cyberbeastwill have an extra induction motor at rare axle which has a top speed of130 mph or 210 kmphand will go0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds.

Range:The Cybertruck is expected to have a competitive electric range on a single charge. Specific range figures depend on the selected battery and motor configurations:

• Single motor RWDwill have a range of 250 miles or 400 Kilometers.
• The Dual-motor AWD will have a range of 340 miles or 550 Kilometers.
• Three motor Cyberbeast will have a range of 320 miles or 510 Kilometers.

Towing Capacity:The Cybertruck is designed to be a capable workhorse, boasting a high towing capacity. It is intended to compete with traditional gas-powered pickup trucks in terms of towing capabilities.

• Single motor RWDwill have a towing capacity of 7500 pounds or 3400 Kilograms.
• BothThe Dual motor AWD and Three motor Cyberbeastwill have the same capacity of 11000 pounds or 5000 Kilograms.

Autopilot:As with other Tesla models, the Cybertruck comes equipped with the hardware necessary for Tesla’s Autopilot system, which includes advanced driver-assistance features. However, the availability and capabilities of Autopilot may vary depending on local regulations.

Off-Road Capability:The Cybertruck is designed to be off-road capable, with features such as adjustable air suspension for varying ground clearance and robust construction to handle rugged terrain.
